Our Big Kindergartner

Logan was so excited for his first day of school! I wasn't sure how I would hold up as we dropped him off in the morning. I started to get a little choked up, but I fought off the tears and put on my brave face. I was proud of myself, but more importantly, I was very proud of him. He came home that day with so many things to tell us. He loves learning! I can't believe how quickly he's growing up!

Logan lines up behind his friend, Landon, who is a head taller than him. Most of the kids in his class are friends from our neighborhood.

She's Growing Up!

Brooklyn went to her first friend birthday party today. The boys and I stayed so she wasn't on her own. All the kids swam and played in the dirt/mud. Anything messy and they have a blast! They even had cupcakes. Good thing we were outside! The boys weren't sure about eating on the princess plates. Logan said, "Do you think they have any boy plates?"

Brooklyn is so brave when it comes to water that she just climbed head first into the water and got stuck on the edge of the pool with her head under water for a few seconds, giving me a scare! We got her up and she seemed unphased by the whole thing. Later as we were eating cupcakes I could tell that she was tired. She kept nodding off, then waking up to take another bite of cupcake. Finally, the sleep won out and she was there on my lap with pink frosting all over her face and hands. It would have made a great picture! All that fun wore her out.

Our Utah Trip

After being without a camera for a few weeks, I am finally posting some pictures from our trip to Utah a month ago. We were there for my cousin's wedding and a Taggart family reunion.

Following the wedding, Brooklyn ran over to this fountain area, where the water sporadically shot up out of the ground. She thought it was great, running from one fountain to the next and trying to get a drink of water.

This was our first trip as a family to Lagoon. The boys had a blast! We had fun watching them have fun all day. Brandon and I did get a chance to go on one rollercoaster--"Wicked". We were nervous to try it because it takes you straight up and straight down and every other which way, but we loved it.

We had a picnic and played in the water at Liberty Park. The kids had fun with their cousin, Ahna. They were hesitant to get in the water and get their faces wet. The bravest of all was Brooklyn. She jumped right in their with all the big kids. It was hilarious! She is our little water baby and dare devil. She keeps us on our toes!

Always our favorite part of going to Utah is spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Stott. Caden calls them "The far away grandma and grandpa". Here we are at Temple Square with Grandma. We spent a day downtown seeing the church sites and riding Trax.
